Part IV, The Kepler Track, Day 1, Luxmore Caves

Starting to explore. The main cavern was only about 50 meters long. What follows involves a little bit of squeezing and crouching, nothing too difficult, and well worth the effort! What a spectacular cave!

A large cavernous room, and about as far as I got. I climbed down over some boulders to the tunnel continuing further down into the earth. The stream I had been following flowed past and from the dark depths I could hear trickling echoing far below. Again, to what depths this cavern reaches I shall always wonder. However, as a solo spelunker I decided it was time to head back up to earth and the long views of the Kepler.
