Trip to Death Valley for the 'Bloom of a lifetime' 3/20 - 24/05

Awoke the next morning after somewhat restless night of hoping my light tent would withstand the violent windstorm

Early morning light

I had spent the night in Furnace Creek, but after an early morning enjoying the flowers in the area, I got back to a wind-flattened tent while simultaneously noticing the monster-sized sandstorm now raging up the valley from the south. I threw the tent in the car and headed north.
